Qalibaf: A ceasefire in Lebanon is as significant as a ceasefire in Iran

Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, announced in a phone conversation with Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, on Thursday that Iran is continuously monitoring developments in Lebanon and efforts to establish a ceasefire in the country.

He emphasized the importance of this matter, stating that for us, a ceasefire in Lebanon holds as much significance as a ceasefire in Iran.

According to Iranian media reports, Qalibaf also met on Thursday with Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, who is visiting Tehran.

In this phone conversation, Nabih Berri also stated that any connection with Israel is against the interests of the Lebanese people.

This call took place amidst increasing diplomatic efforts to establish a ceasefire in Lebanon and continue negotiations among the involved parties.

Iran had previously declared that achieving a ceasefire in Lebanon is one of its conditions for any agreement with the United States, a topic raised while Israeli officials emphasize continuing military operations in the country.
