Qalibaf sarcastically comments that the increase in U.S. bond yields makes the situation worse
Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Parliament, reacted to the rise in U.S. bond yields on the social network X, writing that the yield on 10-year bonds has reached 51 percent and predicted that conditions would become more difficult in the next two years. He likened this situation to the 1970s, referring to interest rates and fuel prices.
According to the published text, the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds has reached its highest level since 2007, and the yield on 30-year bonds has also increased to 54 percent. The financial newsletter, Kobesi Letter, also wrote that despite the actions of the U.S. Treasury Department, bond yields have not decreased, and it considered the end of the war and the energy crisis as the only short-term solution to lowering it.
