Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson: We are not seeking a temporary halt to the Iran-U.S. war
Majed Al-Ansari, the spokesperson for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, emphasized that Doha’s diplomatic efforts should not merely lead to a pause or freezing of the conflict between Iran and the U.S., as such a situation could bring the region back to its current state a few months later. Al-Ansari stated that the goal should be to achieve a sustainable solution that prevents the resumption of hostilities. In recent months, alongside other mediators, Qatar has been working to bring Tehran and Washington back to the negotiation table and reach an agreement on contentious issues.
