Qatari Airline's Plane Crashes While Passing Over Turkish Airspace

A Qatari airline’s plane encountered an accident while flying over Turkey’s sky

Dublin Airport officials announced on Sunday afternoon that a Boeing aircraft belonging to a Qatari airline encountered an accident due to turbulence while flying over Turkey’s sky.

In this incident, 12 passengers of Qatar Airways were injured, and eight of the injured were hospitalized. The Qatari plane was en route from Doha to Dublin on Sunday.

According to ISNA, quoting the Associated Press, Dublin Airport stated in its announcement that flight QR017, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, landed safely according to schedule before 1 PM local time.

The statement mentioned that the plane encountered atmospheric turbulence while flying over Turkey, and rescue vehicles were waiting for it upon landing.

This incident occurred five days after severe turbulence caused a Singapore Airlines plane to encounter air pockets over the Indian Ocean, resulting in the apparent death of a British man from a heart attack and injuring dozens more. This Boeing 777 was traveling from London to Singapore.
