Quadrilateral Agreement between Iraq, Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE on the Development Road
During today’s visit of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, to Baghdad, a quadrilateral memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation on the Development Road project between Iraq, Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE was signed.
Erdoğan and his accompanying delegation met with Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq. Following this meeting, the agreement for the Development Road project between Turkey and Iraq was signed.
The signed memorandum of understanding was executed at the State Palace in Baghdad under the supervision of Erdoğan and Al Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq.
The Prime Minister of Iraq stated that the Development Road project acts as a bridge connecting the people and cultures of the region and supports their security and stability.
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey, Razzaq Muhibis, the Minister of Transport of Iraq, Qassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Qatar, and Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE, were also present at the contract signing ceremony.
