Question to Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian: What benefit does Saudi Arabia gain from the protests in Iran?

Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian, a member of the presidium of the Article 90 Commission of the Parliament, in an interview with Mehr News Agency about the recent protests, in part of his remarks, attributed the behind-the-scenes of all recent protests in Iran to media outlets like the Saudi International Network, and in another part, he stated that Saudi Arabia’s 20-day oil revenue is equivalent to Iran’s annual budget.

Now, our question to Mr. Nabavian is, with such a substantial oil revenue, a large part of which is undoubtedly due to Iran’s sanctions and our country’s inability to sell its oil to major global markets, why would Saudi Arabia support Iran’s internal protests? Unless, if by chance, this movement succeeds, one of its actions wouldn’t be reconciliation with the world, allowing Iranian oil to enter the global market, and certainly, Saudi Arabia wouldn’t have such abundant oil sales revenue as it does now. What is Saudi Arabia’s benefit in this matter?
