Rafael Grossi: Iran and America’s negotiations in Geneva have been a step forward, but time is short
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, announced on Wednesday, February 17, that the talks between Iran and the United States in Geneva have been a step forward, but warned that we do not have much time.
Washington and Tehran held the second round of their recent negotiations in this Swiss city on Tuesday, with Oman mediating.
Mr. Grossi, in an interview with a French television network, said we have made progress, but there is still a lot of work to be done, and the problem is that we do not have much time.
He continued, there is a possibility that a dialogue is forming that is really strengthening for the first time. We are talking about specific issues and actions that we need to take.
The head of the UN’s watchdog also stated that he sees a willingness on both sides to reach an agreement, but emphasized that such an agreement would be extremely complicated.
