Rafael Grossi says Iran is not completely transparent about its nuclear program.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency warned that Iran is not completely transparent about its nuclear program and criticized the remarks of a former Iranian official regarding the Islamic Republic’s capability to reach a nuclear weapon.
On Tuesday, February 13, Rafael Grossi said during a global government conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that Iran does not show complete transparency when it comes to its nuclear program.
He also indirectly referred to recent remarks by Ali Akbar Salehi, the former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, saying that there are constant irregular statements about nuclear weapons, including a recent one in Iran where a high-ranking official said, ‘We have everything, but it hasn’t been assembled yet. Please inform me what you have.’
In remarks aired on a government-run Iranian television program on Monday, Ali Akbar Salehi said the Islamic Republic possesses all the scientific and technological thresholds of nuclear capability.
