Rafael Grossi: Iran must act very transparently in granting us access

Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said in a press conference where one of the topics was Iran’s nuclear program

The current investigations that we are trying to conduct with Iran’s cooperation have not been fruitful so far, and we are still waiting for this to happen. If the JCPOA is implemented, it can help us reach a broader conclusion in this area, which is independent of the JCPOA or any other agreement between Iran and another country, and these matters are solely related to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

However, everything is interconnected. I don’t want to say obstacles, but we are witnessing challenges on this path to have more knowledge of Iran’s activities. Without our cameras recording or other monitoring systems we previously had, our process of gathering information has encountered problems.

Therefore, we have a very difficult task ahead, and Iran must act very transparently in granting us access to receive information so that we can piece together an accurate picture that also shows previous activities.
