Raisi’s Government’s Failure in the Housing Sector
The Ham-Mihan newspaper wrote that in another year and a half, the thirteenth government’s term will end. Raisi entered the field with numerous promises and was unable to fulfill them. Building and controlling housing prices, after inflation, were among the most important programs of the thirteenth government.
From the outset, when Ebrahim Raisi promised to build four million houses, experts declared in interviews that this promise was not feasible. Banks announced that they could not afford to provide several hundred thousand tomans in loans, and ministries refused to allocate their surplus lands for the project’s implementation.
Today, the government still insists on fulfilling this promise. They continue to report on the allocated loans and designated lands for the national movement plan, while these statistics fundamentally differ from the promises made.
