Raisi's Historic Record in Cabinet Changes: Tug of War Between Government and Parliament Over Fatemi Amin

Raisi’s historic record in cabinet reshuffling: Tug-of-war between government and parliament over Fatemi Amin

Now that the hot spring of the cabinet’s self-repair has coincided with the parliament’s serious intention to impeach some ministers, the future composition of the government has become a serious issue.

On one hand, the appearance of things shows that parliament members determined to impeach the Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade intend to deliver a new shock to the government’s economic team.

On the other hand, at least the appearance of things indicates that the government is fully resisting the impeachment of Fatemi Amin.

The first major cabinet change in the new year 1402 took place the day after the end of the New Year holidays, on the 14th of Farvardin, with the resignation of Yousef Nouri from the Ministry of Education. Nouri’s resignation was immediately accepted by the president, and Reza Morad Sahraei was appointed as the acting minister.

In the most significant change, Seyed Masoud Mirkazemi, head of the Planning and Budget Organization, was replaced by Davood Manzoor, marking the first major change in the government’s economic team.

Another important change was the dismissal of Seyed Javad Sadatinejad, the Minister of Agriculture Jihad, making him the first dismissed minister of the thirteenth government.
