Raisi’s Parliamentary Deputy: We Can Prevent Rent Increases

The President’s Parliamentary Deputy says that if the recent parliamentary resolution on housing rent prices is approved by the Guardian Council, the government can control prices and prevent rampant increases in housing rent.

Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini discussed the government’s plan to control housing rent prices, stating that on Tuesday, April 24th, representatives amended a previous parliamentary resolution regarding housing rent that had been criticized by the Guardian Council, and it passed last week. We emphasized and pursued that this be done and not handed over to the new parliament because we are on the verge of summer, and transfers are more frequent in this season.

He continued that after the definitive approval of this resolution, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development can have more control and oversight over rent prices. Therefore, we hope that the Guardian Council prioritizes and finalizes this resolution quickly so that it can be communicated to the agencies for implementation.

Hosseini stated that those active in the housing sector are well aware that the government has made very good efforts in this regard.
