Ranjbarzadeh, a member of parliament, says a large portion of subsidies is spent on 10 million migrants.

Akbar Ranjbarzadeh, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said on Sunday, July 19, during the session for approving the National Migration Organization bill, that a large amount of subsidies is directed towards about 10 million migrants, and the people’s hearts are heavy with this chaotic situation.

Previously, the government of Pezeshkian had presented the National Migration Organization bill to the parliament. According to this bill, the monitoring and oversight of the implementation of laws and regulations related to residency, nationality, transfer, employment, investment, education, marriage, health and treatment, property ownership, accommodation of migrants and foreign nationals, and the allocation of identification numbers and ID cards for the issuance of residence, asylum, and employment permits for migrants and foreign nationals by each of the relevant executive bodies will be carried out by the National Migration Organization according to this law.

Parliament members will review this bill on Sunday in accordance with Article 85 of the Constitution.

According to Article 85, the Islamic Consultative Assembly can delegate the authority to establish experimental laws to the parliamentary commissions in necessary cases.
