The Ham Mihan newspaper’s reaction to Ajami’s father’s interview: The radical faction wants to undermine the independence of the judiciary.
Ham Mihan wrote that the incident during a television interview with the father of Rouhollah Ajami was unprecedented in the 45-year history since the revolution, and what’s more surprising is that it seems no action will be taken regarding this, which is the dangerous aspect of the matter.
The first point is that the producers and hosts of such programs usually have a complete understanding of their guest in advance and have a clear expectation of what they will say. They may even have coordinated before the program.
The second point is the conditions under which such discussions are presented, which is important.
The third point is Ajami’s father’s claims and the host’s reactions, which, if not proven, certainly constitute a crime.
The fourth point seems to be that the principles of justice, which are well-known in the sayings and actions of the Imams and available sources, should be considered.
The last point is clear: a radical faction wants to undermine judicial independence by exerting pressure on this institution.
