Reaction of the Ministry of Culture to the news of preventing Nazanin Bayati's presence in Mashhad: What is in the media is not true

The Ministry of Culture’s reaction to the news of preventing Nazanin Bayati from attending an event in Mashhad: What exists in the media is not true.

Mehdi Samouei, the Director General of Public Relations at the Ministry of Culture, in response to a question about Nazanin Bayati being banned from attending a launch ceremony in Mashhad, stated: Can anyone say that a citizen of the Islamic Republic cannot travel to Mashhad?

Samouei added: Producers and directors, despite all being respected by me and the ministry, let’s attribute some of these to the mischiefs that help some of these films to be seen.

In response to the host asking if these news creations are part of the film’s media campaign, he explained: What has been said and exists in the media is not true.

Samouei, in response to the host about whether even if Nazanin Bayati has not followed the law in some matter, it should be announced by the Ministry of Culture and Guidance, said: If everyone follows the law, members of each profession decide about their own field.
