Reactions to the auctioning of Rayen Citadel and historical buildings: The owner can demolish them

The auctioning of 19 historical buildings in Iran by the Handicrafts and Carpet Development Fund and the Revival and Utilization Organization, including Rayen Citadel, has been met with protests and reactions.

The Sazandegi newspaper in its new report has spoken about the ambiguity in the transfer of this citadel and added that Rayen Citadel is the second-largest adobe structure in the world after Bam Citadel, which experts consider to be among the precious monuments, and the government should not transfer it for utilization.

This newspaper has expressed concern that private ownership is very significant in the constitution. The owner can demolish it, and the least they can do is not allow anyone to enter the property.

Additionally, several newspapers have described Rayen Citadel as a precious historical monument and added that there is still no regulation for determining national precious monuments.
