Axios reports that American and Israeli officials will discuss Iran’s nuclear program next week in Washington. Meanwhile, The Intercept has reported that the U.S. military has allocated a budget for precautionary secret operations related to a military plan against Iran.
The publication, citing unnamed American and Israeli officials, reported that Ron Dermer, the Minister of Strategic Affairs, and Tzachi Hanegbi, Israel’s National Security Advisor, are expected to visit Washington next week.
Axios states that Ron Dermer and Tzachi Hanegbi, both of whom have tough stances against Iran, are set to meet with the U.S. Secretary of State and the National Security Advisor of the Biden administration.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, and other officials of the country have emphasized in recent weeks that a credible military threat must exist to deter Iran from building a nuclear weapon.
