Red Gas Alert Status in Mazandaran

Red alert status for gas in Mazandaran

The CEO of Mazandaran Gas Company, announcing a red alert and warning about gas consumption in the province, said that household gas might be cut off in some counties and their affiliated cities.

Ghasem Mayeli Rostami stated that the gas input to Mazandaran Province has decreased to 50 percent from three points.

He added that due to the severe cold across the country, most of the consumed gas is used in other areas, and since Mazandaran is at the end of the transmission line, it benefits from less gas.

The CEO of Mazandaran Gas Company said, ‘We are currently managing all non-residential centers for secondary fuel, and so far, 60 percent of industries are operating on secondary fuel, and this has been communicated in advance.’

Mayeli Rostami stated that the gas situation in Mazandaran is red, and consumption is still increasing and is not being sufficiently controlled.

He clarified that although we are not cutting off household gas, if the consumption trend remains high, there is a possibility of household gas being cut off, particularly in the counties of Mahmoudabad, Amol, Babol, Babolsar, and Fereydunkenar and their affiliated cities.
