Red Alert Status for Gas in Mazandaran
The CEO of Mazandaran Gas Company announced the red status and issued a warning about gas consumption in this province, stating that household gas in some counties and dependent cities may be cut off.
Qasem Mayeli Rostami stated that gas supply to Mazandaran province has decreased by 50% from three points.
He added that due to severe cold weather nationwide, most of the gas is being used in other areas, and Mazandaran province, being at the end of the transmission line, receives less gas.
The CEO of Mazandaran Gas Company mentioned that they are managing all non-household centers for alternative fuel, with 60% of industries already active in using alternative fuel.
Mayeli Rostami stated that the gas situation in Mazandaran is critical, with consumption still on the rise and less compliance observed.
He clarified that they are not cutting off household gas, but if the consumption trend continues to rise, there is a possibility of cutting off household gas in Mahmoudabad, Amol, Babol, Babolsar, Fereydunkenar, and their dependent cities.
