Reports of Explosion Sounds Heard Near Bandar Abbas

Reports of explosion sounds heard around Bandar Abbas

Fars News Agency reported that on Thursday night, residents of Bandar Abbas heard several explosion-like sounds from around the city and the sea area.

At the same time, residents of areas near the Bandar Abbas pier also reported hearing explosion sounds at sea. According to reports, this incident occurred around 10:05 PM.

Tasnim News Agency, quoting sources, announced that part of the explosion sounds were related to warning operations by the IRGC Navy against ships that intended to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without permission.

Fars also reported that during an exchange of fire between Iranian armed forces and the enemy, commercial sections of the Bahman Qeshm pier were targeted.

Subsequently, regional media published conflicting reports about the cause of this incident. An Israeli source in an interview with i24 Network claimed that Israel had no role in tonight’s incidents in Iran.

However, some other sources, including another Israeli source, have claimed that UAE fighter jets targeted this pier.

So far, no official in Iran or the UAE has confirmed these claims, and the investigation into the incident’s dimensions continues.
