A representative supporting the Protection Plan said, ‘I did an Istikhara and it turned out well.’
Mehrdad Weis Karimi, one of the supporters of the Protection Plan, protested in today’s parliament session about the plan not being discussed in the open session. He said that due to internal agitation, which was mainly directed from abroad, the continuation of the joint commission’s work on the plan was halted.
I am not someone who usually does Istikhara, but I did it for these discussions, and it turned out well, so I decided to speak up. How long should we remain silent in the face of the parliament’s arbitrary management? In a few months, we are supposed to meet with His Excellency again. How are we going to say that our cyberspace is not regulated by law? Why have we lost the courage to be revolutionary, and why are a few youngsters making decisions for us?
Abdolreza Mesri, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, responded to Weis Karimi by saying, ‘God willing, we will put it on the agenda and it will be done.’ He also mentioned that during this time, the country has not been idle, and the Supreme Council of Cyberspace and the Supreme National Security Council have had full authority and have performed very well, as you can see the results.
