Results from credible surveys show that 72% of people are dissatisfied with Raisi’s government
A journalist and one of the managers of the Khabar Online website says that in the second year of Ebrahim Raisi’s presidency, he has been informed that based on credible surveys, at least 72% of people are dissatisfied with his government.
On Monday, June 19, Mohammad Mohajeri added in a tweet that more realistic surveys have estimated dissatisfaction to be as high as 80%.
The journalist did not mention which institution or organization conducted these surveys or the sample size, however, it seems that in the absence of independent survey centers, these surveys may have been conducted by security agencies, particularly the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic.
If these statistics are accurate, it indicates that many principlists who supported Mr. Raisi have also turned away from him.
Ebrahim Raisi was elected in the 2021 Iranian presidential election, where according to official statistics, the voter turnout was below 50%, winning with 18 million votes, although unofficial reports suggested a 30% turnout in the election.
