Reuters: Pakistan has deployed 30,000 to 40,000 troops in Saudi Arabia

Reuters, citing informed sources, reported that Pakistan has deployed between 30,000 to 40,000 military personnel in Saudi Arabia to assist in defending the country’s borders and countering missile and drone attacks. According to a Pakistani official, these forces have entered Saudi Arabia in several phases; some have been stationed there since last year, while others were sent following the recent escalation of regional tensions. Simultaneously, Pakistan has also sent military equipment to the region, including air defense systems, light artillery, drones, and anti-drone systems. Reuters noted that Pakistani military advisors are present alongside Saudi forces and are supporting Yemeni forces aligned with Riyadh. However, the Pakistani official emphasized that Islamabad has not yet made any decision to send these troops into Yemen on a combat mission.
