Reuters: Trump confirmed he called Netanyahu crazy

Donald Trump confirmed that in his recent phone conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, he referred to him as crazy.

The President of the United States, in an interview with the podcast Pod Force One, in response to a question about the Axios report, said, ‘Yes, I did.’

Trump added, ‘I wouldn’t say I was angry, but I was a little upset and frustrated with his constant fighting with Lebanon.’

According to Reuters, this call took place while Washington was trying to advance negotiations with Iran and contain tensions in Lebanon.

Netanyahu, in response to reports about disagreements with Trump, downplayed any serious rift and said, ‘We have common goals, and sometimes, like the best families, tactical disagreements arise.’

He also described Trump as Israel’s greatest friend in the White House and said both sides always find a way to resolve their differences.

Reuters writes that this is the first time Trump has explicitly confirmed using such a term in a private conversation with Netanyahu.
