Reuters: Turkish Foreign Minister to Visit Qatar for Talks on Iran War

Reuters reported that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will travel to Qatar on Tuesday to discuss the Iran war, Gulf security, and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report, Turkey has been in close contact with Washington, Tehran, and Pakistan since the start of the US and Israel’s war with Iran, urging an end to the conflicts.

A Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters that Fidan will emphasize Ankara’s support for Qatar against Iranian attacks during his visit to Doha.

He is also set to discuss the necessity of maintaining maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz and its impact on regional economic stability and security.

Reuters wrote that Turkey and Qatar have close political, military, and economic relations, and Ankara has a military base in Qatar.
