Reza Davoodnejad, a popular Iranian comedian, has passed away.

Reza Davoodnejad, an Iranian cinema actor, has died at the age of 43 following a liver transplant surgery.

Naimeh Nezamdoost, an actress and a friend of Reza Davoodnejad, confirmed the actor’s passing in an interview with IRNA news agency.

She said, ‘I spoke with Ghazal Badiyi, the wife of this artist, a few hours ago and learned that Reza Davoodnejad passed away today, April 2nd, due to complications from the liver transplant in the hospital.’

According to her, Mr. Davoodnejad had been hospitalized for over a month at Namazi Hospital in Shiraz.

He began his cinema career by appearing in films directed by his father, Alireza Davoodnejad, an Iranian filmmaker.
