Reza Pahlavi’s reaction to the letter from 32 Israeli Knesset members: Violation of Iran’s territorial integrity is unacceptable
Following the publication of a letter from 32 Israeli Knesset members who called for efforts to create international support for separatist tendencies in Iran’s Azerbaijan provinces, Reza Pahlavi, the former Crown Prince of Iran, has deemed these statements unacceptable.
Reza Pahlavi wrote on his Twitter account that the verbal attack by 32 Israeli Knesset members on Iran’s territorial integrity is unacceptable and serves the anti-Iranian regime of the Islamic Republic. These foolish statements are in complete opposition to the positions of Israeli leaders and senior officials in meetings I have had with them.
Mr. Pahlavi, who recently returned from a trip to Israel and meetings with officials of this country, wrote that he conveyed his concerns and those of his compatriots to our friends in Jerusalem.
In a letter dated April 27 addressed to their country’s Foreign Ministry, 32 members of the Israeli Knesset called for Israeli support for the Azeri minority in Iran and support for their nationalist tendencies to counter the Islamic Republic’s government.
