Reza Taghavi, the President’s advisor on religious affairs, says that the harm caused by the silence of the elites is no less than that of the rioters.
Reza Taghavi, the President’s advisor on religious affairs, stated yesterday at a gathering of affiliates from provincial seminaries, held under the title ‘Pledge of Allegiance to the Leadership’, that the harm caused by the silence of the elites is no less than that of the rioters.
Regarding the elites, he mentioned that artists, event reporters, poets, scholars, university professors, celebrities, sports and artistic champions, ministers, lawyers, and heads are among the elites, meaning they are the forces that have sat at the table of this system and have grown.
Since the beginning of the anti-government protests, which have been ongoing for over three months, governmental institutions and officials have repeatedly criticized the silence of those close to the government.
The advisor to Raisi on religious affairs stated that encouraging norm-breaking, civil opposition, character assassination of community leaders and managers, and discrediting the system are actions that, according to him, are carried out by the enemies of the Islamic Republic.
