Rising Cost of Home Appliances Cited Due to Steel Price Increase

Rising prices of home appliances under the pretext of steel price increase

The Vice President of the Home Appliances Union states that many manufacturing factories have increased the prices of their products by about 60% under the pretext of rising steel prices. This price increase is not approved by the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade. Due to the unchecked rise in prices, demand has decreased, and a recession has taken over the market. Some factories are offering their products at retail and wholesale prices without considering any profit for the sellers. The situation has reached a point where consumers have no choice in replacing their goods and must either buy what they need at high prices or not buy at all. The union reports information and news about overpricing daily to the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade through the union president, but unfortunately, no action is taken.
