Robert Malley: We have sanctioned the leaders suppressing Kurdistan
The U.S. Special Envoy for Iran has sanctioned key leaders involved in the increasing suppression in Iranian Kurdistan.
Alireza Moradi, the commander of the Sanandaj Law Enforcement Force, Hassan Asgari, the governor of this city, and Mohammad Taghi Osanloo, the commander of the Hamzeh Seyyed al-Shohada Northwest Headquarters, are the three individuals who, according to Robert Malley, have recently been sanctioned by the United States.
The Hengaw Human Rights Organization has reported that at least 42 people were killed in the bloody crackdown on Kurdish cities from November 15 to November 21 during the nationwide protests following the death of Mahsa Amini.
