Rouhani Proposed Holding a Referendum on Three Issues

Rouhani suggested holding a referendum on three issues

The former President of Iran stated that the transformation people desire should be tangible. The foundation of the Islamic Republic is based on the satisfaction of the people and God. If the people are not satisfied, a transformation must be initiated to solve the problem.

If we are seeking transformation, we should implement Article 59 of the Constitution, which explicitly states that in very important economic, political, social, and cultural issues, it is possible to refer to the public through a referendum.

What the people want might involve dozens of questions, but in a referendum, the public can be asked to answer three fundamental questions regarding foreign policy, domestic policy, and the economy.
