Russian Army Campaign for Men to Join the Military

A widespread advertising campaign has been launched in Russia, urging citizens to join the army.

This comes as reports indicate that the Russian armed forces have suffered heavy losses one year after the invasion of Ukraine and the occupation of parts of the country.

The Russian Ministry of Defense released a video asking people to leave their civilian jobs and join the military.

The video shows a supermarket guard, a fitness trainer, and a taxi driver, all seemingly disillusioned with their ordinary lives and finding satisfaction after joining the army.

The motivation for recruitment is likely due to the Russian army’s urgent need for new soldiers after more than a year of war in Ukraine.

According to leaked U.S. documents, the Pentagon, the U.S. Department of Defense, states that tens of thousands of Russian army forces have been killed in this war.
