Russian Cyber Attacks with the Help of Private Tech Companies

According to information revealed by a Russian whistleblower, Russian secret services are planning hacking operations worldwide with the help of a Moscow-based tech company, NTC Vulkan.

Journalists from three German media outlets, Spiegel, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and the ZDF channel, along with international media, have published the leaked documents.

The exposure of NTC Vulkan’s confidential files and the leak of thousands of pages of its classified documents confirm that the designers and engineers of the private Vulkan company were collaborating with Russian military and intelligence organizations.

This private company has been assisting Russian security services by supporting hacking operations, training agents to attack infrastructures, spreading false information, and controlling parts of the internet.

The leaked documents state that the company is developing software for all three main Russian services: the Russian military intelligence agency GRU, the Federal Security Service FSB, and the Foreign Intelligence Service SWR, which is intended for sabotage.
