Russian President: We Are Only One Step Away from World War III

The President of Russia says we are only one step away from the outbreak of World War III.

Putin states that Russia may create a buffer zone in areas controlled by Kyiv at some point to protect its people from Ukrainian attacks.

Regarding the possibility of a direct confrontation between NATO and Russia, he said that anything is possible in the modern world and warned that we are one step away from a third world war.

He emphasized that Moscow is well aware of the pressure from the US-led military bloc to deploy forces in Ukraine and added that he doesn’t think anyone is interested in that. Putin stressed that volunteer soldiers from NATO countries face very bad prospects, saying it holds nothing good, especially for them, because they will be there and many will die.

He also revealed that Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition figure who died in a Russian prison, was supposed to be exchanged with some Russian prisoners held in the West.
