Sadaf Asgari: The Islamic Republic prevented me from acting in a film and judging at a festival in Turkey

Sadaf Asgari, the film actress, says that the security institutions of the Islamic Republic, by confiscating her passport, prevented her from acting in an international film project in Turkey and from attending other festivals in this country as a judge.

Ms. Asgari wrote on her Instagram page on Friday, December 1, that after returning from this year’s Cannes Festival, her personal belongings and passport were confiscated by security institutions.

She added, ‘I didn’t say a word, but the experience of becoming a judge at this age was not something I could easily overlook.’
