Sadegh Zibakalam: Tehran and Washington Should Negotiate Directly

Sadegh Zibakalam suggests Tehran and Washington negotiate directly.

Sadegh Zibakalam believes Biden and Netanyahu have different approaches regarding war with Iran.

If a war breaks out, China might take advantage of the situation and seize Taiwan, and naturally, in such circumstances, it would be difficult for the United States to confront China as well. All these conditions have led to the U.S. not wanting a war with Iran. On the other hand, as I mentioned, Netanyahu wouldn’t mind entering a war with Iran to perpetuate the crisis. Therefore, there is a serious disagreement between Biden and Netanyahu over war with Iran.

Zibakalam discussed what advantage Iran could take from such a rift, stating that unfortunately, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy has always been at the service of anti-Western ideology and revolutionary ideals. Now, given the differences between the U.S. and Israel, Iran could, for once, negotiate directly with the U.S. without intermediaries, to advance its position through diplomacy rather than ideology.
