Saif al-Adel is the current leader of Al-Qaeda.
The United Nations has identified Saif al-Adel as the current leader of Al-Qaeda in a recent report.
According to a new report by the United Nations, Saif al-Adel, a former officer in the Egyptian Special Forces and a high-ranking member of Al-Qaeda, has now become the uncontested leader of this paramilitary group. The report states that many member countries of the United Nations believe that Saif al-Adel has spent some time in Iran.
Since the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the former leader of Al-Qaeda, in a US missile strike in Kabul last year, Al-Qaeda has not officially appointed his successor. The killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri in 2022 is seen as the second major blow to the organization after the death of Osama bin Laden, the founder of Al-Qaeda, in 2011.
