Saleh Nikbakht: The Judiciary Has Yet to Provide Any Reason for Mahsa Amini's Death

Saleh Nikbakht: The judiciary has yet to provide any reason for Mahsa Amini’s death.

Saleh Nikbakht, the lawyer for Mahsa Amini’s family, announced on Monday, May 1, in an interview with the Iran Watch site, that the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran has not yet provided any convincing reasons to the family, lawyers, or even the scientific community of the country regarding the natural cause of Mahsa’s death.

Eight months after Mahsa Amini’s death in the custody of the Guidance Patrol, the reason for her death remains shrouded in mystery.

Officials and media of the Islamic Republic denied any beating of Mahsa Amini in the Guidance Patrol months before the forensic examination results were announced and claimed that the 22-year-old girl’s death was due to an underlying illness.

Amjad Amini, Mahsa’s father, has repeatedly rejected the claims made by government officials and media about his daughter being ill in interviews with both domestic and international media.
