Salman Safavi’s warning about the consequences of voting for Jalili: More poverty and misery are on the way

Dr. Seyyed Salman Safavi, head of the London International Peace Studies Centre and brother of Commander Rahim Safavi, issued a statement supporting Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian and warning about the consequences of Saeed Jalili’s ideology taking control of the executive branch.

In the text he published, it is stated

If you do not want

sanctions to increase, poverty and misery to increase, inflation and high prices to increase, various discriminations to increase, more filtering, more restrictions on women’s rights

then

do not let another Ahmadinejad era happen again.

By boycotting the elections, you are effectively voting for extremists who are against the fundamental rights of the people.

Vote for Pezeshkian to keep the glimmer of hope for reforms alive.

Reforms are gradual, and Pezeshkian can pursue the improvement of livelihoods, fundamental rights of the youth, women, and the distressed.
