Sara and Pari Baharvandi Withdraw from National Snooker Team in Support of Iran Protests

Sara and Pari Baharvandi’s withdrawal from the national snooker team in support of the protests in Iran

Sara and Pari Baharvandi, two sisters who are members of Iran’s women’s national snooker team, announced in a video that they will not participate in any domestic or international tournaments from the beginning of Azar and are withdrawing from the national team.

They said that they do not claim to stand with the people because they themselves are the people. They also mentioned it is for the unjustly shed blood, for the political prisoners, for our children, for freedom.

Sara Baharvandi holds a snooker ranking in Iran and is the national champion.
