Sardar Azmoun’s Arrival in Qatar

The Iranian national football team’s forward traveled to Qatar from Germany with a special companion.

Sardar Azmoun, the forward for the Iranian national team and Bayer Leverkusen, who had been dealing with an injury for several weeks, spent some time under the supervision of Mikael Mouri, the national team’s physiotherapist in the UAE, to expedite his recovery process and make it to the World Cup.

Azmoun eventually left the UAE for Germany last week but did not participate in Leverkusen’s game due to lack of readiness. Another coach from the Iranian national team was Azmoun’s special companion in Germany to monitor the forward in the remaining time before the World Cup. The close connection between Sardar Azmoun and Queiroz’s assistant in Germany continued until Azmoun’s departure to Qatar yesterday. Queiroz confirmed this today on the sidelines of the Iranian national team’s practice, saying that Sardar arrived in Qatar yesterday with one of our fitness coaches, indicating that these issues are resolved.
