Saudi Arabia Appoints Ambassador to Syria After 12 Years

Saudi Arabia appointed its ambassador to Syria after 12 years.

For the first time in 12 years, Saudi Arabia has appointed a new ambassador to Syria.

The Saudi Press Agency announced on Sunday that Faisal bin Saud Al-Mujfel has been selected as Riyadh’s new ambassador to Damascus.

The appointment of the new Saudi ambassador to Syria occurred one year after the resumption of relations between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia had severed its relations with Syria following the civil war in that country.
