Second Night of Protests in Hamedan Against Water Outages

According to received reports, on the second of September, the people of Hamedan gathered for the second consecutive night in protest against the water outages and shortages in the city in front of Avicenna’s tomb.

The protesters chanted slogans such as ‘Incompetent official, resign, resign,’ ‘Fellow citizen, enough is enough, show your courage,’ and ‘Governor, resign, resign.’

This gathering, which lasted about 40 minutes, ended with police intervention.

It is worth mentioning that Hamedan has been facing widespread water outages in some areas for the past eight days, and it is predicted that the Ekbatan Dam will also go out of operation starting next week.
