Secretary of the National Population Headquarters: In 24 years, 30% of the country’s population will be elderly
Kazem Foroutan, the secretary of the National Population Headquarters, stated that currently, 10% of the country’s population is elderly, but by the year 2046, if the current conditions persist, it will reach 30%. Therefore, there needs to be a cultural shift regarding the youthfulness of the country’s population so that people can understand and feel the situation. They should realize that if no action is taken now, the problems of an aging society will be significantly greater in 25 years.
