Secretary of the Public Culture Council: We are insulted and beaten, but we preserve the dignity of the system

Majid Emami: This note should reach some of these gentlemen and ladies who take personal and threatening stances on the issue of illegal unveiling in some cities. First, like all of you, I am deeply concerned and heartbroken. We, the people of Iran, have not been armed for fifty years. We are reformers. We hear insults but do not insult back. We are beaten but do not beat back, because the dignity of the system lies with the loyalists.
