Security situation at Al-Zahra University: A student’s suicide attempt, arrest of students inside the university, increased presence of plainclothes forces on campus.

According to reports from Al-Zahra University students, following a suicide attempt last night by a student in the dormitory due to pressure from the university and dormitory officials, as well as contacting her family, and the quick reaction of students to prevent this incident, the number of plainclothes and security forces on campus has increased since the beginning of today, December 22.

According to these reports, plainclothes forces have so far attempted to arrest two students inside the university. They managed to abduct a student named Sarina Sadeghi, a graphic design student, on November 8 from in front of the dormitory. However, their second attempt on November 20, when they entered an economics class with the cooperation of the instructor, Raghieh Pouran, a professor of Islamic banking, did not lead to an arrest due to the resistance of the students.
