Senior Advisor to the UAE President Hopes Iran and the U.S. Reach a Direct Negotiation Outcome

Anwar Gargash, Senior Advisor to the UAE President on Diplomatic Affairs, referred to the escalating tensions between Iran and the U.S. and stated that the Middle East cannot endure another conflict. He expressed hope that Tehran and Washington would engage in direct talks.

In a specialized session on the sidelines of the World Government Summit in Dubai, he said, ‘I hope Iran and the U.S. conduct direct negotiations that lead to an understanding, so we do not witness the repetition of such crises.’

Gargash also emphasized that Iran should reach a nuclear agreement that addresses the main issues, while also stating that Tehran needs to rebuild its relationship with the U.S.
