Senior American General says Ukraine will be at risk of defeat without Washington’s support
A senior American general in Europe told the United States Congress on Wednesday that without Washington’s support, Ukraine’s artillery shells and air defense systems will run out in a short period of time, putting them at risk of partial and complete defeats.
General Christopher Cavoli, the commander of the United States Army Europe Command, told the House Armed Services Committee that Russia is currently firing five shells for every shell fired by Ukrainian forces, and this disparity will increase to 10 shells for every one shell in the coming weeks.
Mr. Cavoli stated that if one side can fire and the other side cannot respond, the side that cannot fire will be the loser, so the risks are very high.
