Serial Poisonings Continue: Students from Two Girls' Schools in Sanandaj Poisoned

Serial poisonings continue as students from two girls’ schools in Sanandaj were poisoned.

According to Hengaw, on Saturday, April 15, 2023, students at two girls’ schools, Khadijeh Kobra and Sharafat, in the city of Sanandaj, experienced symptoms of poisoning, and several students were transferred to medical centers.

Hengaw reports that government forces have been stationed around these two schools.

The wave of poisonings among female students in Iran has intensified again after the end of the New Year holidays.

In recent weeks, female students from dozens of schools in several cities in Iran, including Tehran, Karaj, Shahin Shahr, Urmia, Saqqez, and Sanandaj, have been sent to medical centers due to poisoning.

The chain poisoning of students began in December of last year in the city of Qom and then spread to most cities across the country, with girls’ schools being the primary target.

Despite several months passing, officials in Iran have not yet released precise information about the causes and sources of these poisonings.
