Masoud Shekari, the father of Mohsen Shekari who was arrested during this fall’s protests and executed shortly after, has shared some commemorative photos of him on Twitter.

On Tuesday, Mr. Shekari posted more than ten tweets in tribute to his son, which included photos with him and at his gravesite.

Among the images, he shared one with a caption saying, ‘Whenever you choose to remember the children who were martyred, are still in prison, or have lost their sight because of us, instead of going shopping for the New Year or traveling, then you can say you are an Iranian with honor. It’s not that hard.’

Mohsen Shekari, 23 years old, faced an execution sentence on November 20th on charges of ‘waging war against God,’ a sentence that was carried out on the morning of Thursday, December 8th.

The execution of Mohsen Shekari was met with widespread international condemnation. He was one of at least four people who were arrested and executed during the protests.
